Every price is a ‘starting at’ and every button says ‘book a demo’ — the real bill depends on countries, benefits and add-ons, and only firms up in a sales conversation.
companies hiring internationally without local entities — contractors paid compliantly in 150+ countries, or full EOR employment where you need someone on the ground fast.
your team is all-domestic (a local payroll tool is far cheaper), or you hire enough people in one country that opening your own entity beats paying per-employee EOR fees forever.

✓ Pricing re-verified 9 Oct 2026
Pricing is per worker and demo-led, and each product is priced separately. Find talent (sourcing, screening and onboarding candidates) is $14 per worker a month. Contractor management is $49 per contractor a month, or $325 per month per Contractor of Record if you want Deel to carry the compliance risk. US PEO starts at $125 per employee a month. And EOR, where Deel employs your international hire, starts at $599 per employee a month.
The pricing FAQ says pricing is month to month with no long-term commitment, and Deel's Contractor of Record page adds that each Contractor of Record contract requires a deposit of one month of the contractor's payment. There is a free demo and final quotes come through sales. The spread is the point: the same headcount costs $14 or $599 a month depending on which relationship you need, so identify the employment model before comparing vendors. Plans change — always verify the live price on their site.
Category context: HR & People. Across the 13 tools in this category that we researched with a public US-dollar price, the median entry price is $14 a month (lowest paid plan as listed, per seat where the vendor prices per seat). Deel’s entry price of $14 a month sits roughly at that median. Compare pricing conditions in the Software Cost Atlas →

And know what EOR money buys: at $599+/month per employee you’re paying for compliance risk transfer, not software — worth it in unfamiliar jurisdictions, expensive where you could open your own entity.

Themes from the buyer-review sites listed at the foot of this page, read in August 2026. We have not run Deel ourselves, so this is other buyers' experience rather than ours. We summarise it here because the complaints are usually the part a vendor page leaves out.
There is no plan ladder here, only a product ladder, and the steps are enormous: HR and hiring from $14 per worker a month, contractor management from $49 per contractor, Contractor of Record at $325, US PEO from $125 per employee and EOR from $599. The same person costs $49 or $325 depending on who carries the misclassification risk, and that step buys no extra software. That is the honest frame for every upgrade here: above the $49 tier you buy liability transfer rather than features.
Deel makes the choice explicit at contract creation, where you pick either coverage up to $25,000 or full misclassification coverage. What paying more does not do is change the underlying relationship. If the work is really employment - set hours, your equipment, your direction - no coverage tier turns it into contracting; it only decides who argues about it. Nor does EOR give you a local entity: at $599 per employee a month across 130+ countries you are renting one, which pays while you test a market and gets expensive once that country holds a real team.
Every figure is a starting-at behind a demo, so none of them is a quote.
Adding a first contractor is a nine-step wizard: the People icon, then Add People, then Contractor, starting either from a blank contract or a pre-filled template. You choose the group and entity, enter the worker's name, email and country of residence, select the agreement type and set a Scope of Work, which Deel AI will draft if you have no existing text to reuse. Compensation is where the shape gets set.
Fixed Rate pays weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly or monthly; Pay As You Go bills hourly, daily, weekly or per task; Milestone releases against deliverables. One detail helps a fast start: the docs say a Pay As You Go rate is optional at creation, but the contractor cannot submit work until a rate exists, and adding it later is an amendment that needs a signature. Then pick coverage - up to $25,000 or full misclassification coverage - and sign.
The contract only activates once both parties have accepted, so allow for the contractor's turnaround; you can switch the signing order, and up to five signers can be required in sequence.

The natural comparison is Gusto — Gusto is the friendly US-payroll incumbent for domestic teams; Deel is built for global — contractors, EOR and payroll across 150+ countries. Pick by where your people are.
It depends entirely on the product: $14 per worker a month for Find talent (hiring), $49 per contractor for contractor management, $325 per Contractor of Record, $125 per US PEO employee and $599 per EOR employee. Read on 17 August 2026 and unchanged on 9 October 2026.
Who carries the misclassification risk. At $49 a month you manage the contractor yourself through Deel's platform; at $325 Deel becomes the Contractor of Record and takes on the compliance exposure. The $276 difference is an insurance premium, so price it against what a misclassification finding would cost you in that country. Deel's Contractor of Record page (read 9 October 2026) also asks a deposit of one month of the contractor's payment per Contractor of Record contract.
Because it is a different service: at $599 per employee a month Deel is the legal employer in a country where you have no entity, handling payroll, taxes, benefits and termination law. Compared with the cost of incorporating and running a local entity it is often cheaper; compared with a contractor arrangement it is many times the price, which is why the classification question comes first.
