The monthly rates are the cheapest we have on file for this category, and that is worth saying plainly.

(2026-08-07, read on their own pricing page) Priced per service rather than per plan, and every figure is a floor. Employer of Record: EOR Flex from $199 per employee a month, billed monthly with no commitment, no setup fee and no minimum headcount; EOR Plus from $399 with an annual commitment, a dedicated account manager and a minimum of 5 employees. Contractor of Record from $199 a month including misclassification cover; plain contractor management from $29.
US PEO from $99 per employee a month and US payroll from $29. Global payroll from $25 per employee a month, with volume discounts quoted above 50 employees. Recruitment is charged on salary instead: Recruit + EOR is 2% of annual salary spread over twelve months, Global Recruitment 20% payable on the candidate’s first day, and Executive Search 25%. Legal help is $199 an hour with no retainer. Benefits, equity, incorporation, entity management and visas are all quote-only. Plans change — always verify the live price on their site.

Our Deel dossier has EOR from $599 per employee a month against Remote People’s $199, contractor of record $325 against $199, US PEO $125 against $99 and contractor management $49 against $29. If those hold at your headcount and in your country, the gap is large enough to matter. Two things stop that from being the whole picture. First, every figure on the page carries a ‘from’ and not one country-level rate is published.
EOR pricing moves with statutory employer cost, which varies enormously between, say, Portugal and Brazil, so the number you are quoted for your actual hire is the only one that counts. Ask for it in writing before you compare anything. Second, and larger: the recruitment services are priced as a share of salary, and that dwarfs the subscription. Global Recruitment at 20% of annual salary on an $80,000 hire is $16,000 due on day one — more than six years of EOR Flex for the same person.
Executive Search at 25% is more again. Recruit + EOR at 2% over twelve months is a different animal entirely and is the one worth understanding, because it is the only route where the fee is spread rather than paid up front. Nothing on the pricing page puts these side by side, so it is easy to read the $199 and miss where the money actually goes. One structural note: EOR Plus needs a minimum of five employees and an annual commitment, so a small team comparing tiers is really only choosing Flex.
Employer of Record and global hiring in 150+ countries. EOR from $199 per employee a month with no setup fee, no deposit and no minimum headcount; contractor management from $29, US PEO from $99. Recruitment is charged separately at 20-25% of annual salary.

Recurring themes from the buyer-review sites listed at the foot of this page, read in August 2026. We have not run Remote People ourselves, so this is other buyers' experience rather than ours. We summarise it here because the complaints are usually the part a vendor page leaves out.
Where the ratings disagree. The reviews split by who is writing. Client companies buying the service are largely positive about account management; the placed employees who live with the payroll and compliance side supply nearly all the operational complaints. Trustpilot also labels this profile as one that invites its customers to review, and records replies to 83% of negative reviews, so the client-side praise is partly solicited while the employee-side complaints are not. The company's own Trustpilot description quotes a much higher score from a different platform — a different population answering a different question.
The tier choice here is smaller than it looks. EOR Flex at $199 per employee a month is monthly billing, no commitment, no setup fee and no minimum headcount; EOR Plus at $399 wants an annual commitment and a minimum of five employees and gives you a dedicated account manager and no deposit. Below five people, Flex is the only real option, so the upgrade question does not arise until you are already scaling.
What neither tier settles is the two costs that dominate. Statutory employer cost is country-specific and not one country-level rate is published, so your actual monthly bill for a hire in Brazil is not the bill for the same hire in Portugal, and only a written quote tells you which. And recruitment is priced on salary, not per seat: Global Recruitment is 20% of annual salary on the candidate's first day, Executive Search 25%, while Recruit + EOR is 2% spread over twelve months.
On an $80,000 hire that 20% is $16,000 due immediately, which no subscription tier changes.
The vendor sets out a three-step division of labour: you choose the person, sign the offer and approve one monthly invoice; they do the rest. Concretely, once you send who, where and the salary, they promise a same-day cost breakdown covering salary, employer contributions and their flat fee. Then a compliant local contract within 24 hours, including probation, notice, working time and a thirteenth month where the country requires one, and onboarding within 48 hours.
Background checks, right-to-work verification and a classification review are closed before day one, IP is assigned in writing before work starts, and a pre-configured laptop ships in three to five days. Afterwards it is one invoice a month, with payslips, expenses, stipends and time off in the dashboard and benefits administration at no extra fee. If you are moving from another provider, EOR Switch is quoted rather than listed and carries a stated two-week migration.
Distilled from Vendor pricing page (remotepeople.com/pricing) and the vendor's How It Works page describing the recruit, hire, pay and offboard stages (remotepeople.com/how-it-works), both read 18 August 2026.
Both columns come from the same place: each vendor’s own published pricing, read on the date shown in the sources at the foot of this page. We do not average them into a score.

The natural comparison is Deel — the comparison worth doing, and our Deel dossier makes it checkable. On published floors: EOR $199 against $599 a month, contractor of record $199 against $325, US PEO $99 against $125, contractor management $29 against $49. Remote People is cheaper on every line we can compare. What Deel has is scale and a product surface that goes well beyond employment — and, in fairness, both are demo-led at the point where it matters, so neither publishes what your particular hire will actually cost. Get a written quote from both for the same country and the same salary; that is the only comparison that survives contact with reality. Our Remote People figures were read on 2026-08-07, the Deel figures are dated in that dossier..
Everything we publish about Remote People links back here — the review stays the honest hub:
The ex-banker filter — the same yardstick on every review (how we review): My ex-banker filter is simple: does Remote People remove a real cost — time, errors, missed revenue — bigger than what it charges? If the job above is genuinely yours, it's worth a look. We never publish fake or “exclusive” prices, so always confirm the current plan on their site.
Compliance is country by country, so the honest answer is: only where the vendor says it is, and only for the entity type you actually have. Ask which countries are covered by its own entities versus a local partner, who carries the liability if something is filed wrong, and how changes in local law reach you. Get those answers in the contract rather than the sales deck.
