Price Watch: what these vendors quietly changed

Researched assessment · by Daniel HaketUpdated 2026-09-04

Vendors raise prices quietly. We write it down.

Every month we archive the pricing page of every tool we cover, then compare the new capture against the last one. What follows is only the part that concerns the tools on this site, and only the changes a person confirmed by reading the raw lines of both months. Amounts on their own are not evidence: a currency selector or a failed capture can move a number without anything changing.

Caught by our own captures: 2026-07 → 2026-08

We compared 237 tools that had a capture in both months. 24 pages moved; a person read the raw lines and confirmed which were real. Below is the 1 that concerns a tool on this site, checked on 2026-08-22.

PRICE INCREASE

BuddyPunch

Every per-user rate went up while the $19 monthly base fee stayed put, so the increase lands hardest on small teams — a five-person crew on the middle tier pays $5 a month more for the same product.

Caught by our own captures: 2026-08 → 2026-09

We compared 330 tools that had a capture in both months. 30 pages moved; a person read the raw lines and confirmed which were real. Below are the 7 that concern tools on this site, checked on 2026-09-02.

Beautiful.ai

The individual Pro plan went from $12 to $14.50 a month on annual billing, a 21% rise, while the Team rate ($40 annual, $50 monthly) and the $45 one-off monthly option did not move. The page's own summary sentence was rewritten to carry the new number.

PRICE CUT, SMALLER BUNDLE

Replit

Core on annual billing dropped from $20 to $17 a month, shown on the page as a struck-through $20. The credits that come with it moved the other way: August promised $25 of monthly credits, September says $20 towards the most powerful models. A 15% cheaper plan with a 20% smaller allowance is closer to a repackaging than a cut.

BUYER PLAN UP 26%

Flippa

Held back in August for lack of context; a third capture settles it. The paid buyer subscription, which buys 21 days of early access to new listings over $10,000, was $49 a month or $388 a year in July and August. In September the annual price is $490, a 26% rise, while the $49 monthly rate did not move. The seller-side listing fees and the success-fee ladder are unchanged.

TIER UP 60%

Expertise AI

The $400 and $500 Growth rates disappeared and Business went from $1,250 to $2,000 a month. The page title now leads with 'Free & $50/User', which is the small-team price; the enterprise number behind it rose by 60% without a word on the page.

PLAN RESTRUCTURE

Softr

The August ladder was $49, $139 and $269 a month with user packs sold on top. September sells Basic $19, Pro $99 and Business $329, each with metered add-ons (extra editors, workflow actions, custom domains at $15 a month). The entry price fell by more than half; the top tier rose 22%; and the thing you buy changed shape entirely.

TOP TIER DOUBLED

VEA

Three tiers became four and the numbers were rounded: $31.95/$24.95 became $30/$25, $49.95/$39.95 became $50/$40. The old top tier at $77.95/$59.95 is gone; the new third tier is $150/$120 and a fourth sits at $597/$497 per user. The marketing line underneath still says 'Starting at $24.95 per user per month', a number that is no longer on the plan cards.

NOW PER SEAT

Lindy.ai

August listed flat plans at $49, $99 and $199 a month and an $8,000 figure for the top of the range. September prices every plan per user: $29.99, $99.99 and $199.99 a month per seat. For one person the entry plan got cheaper; for a team of three the same tiers now cost roughly two to three times what the flat rate did.

How we track this

Once a month we capture the vendor’s own pricing page and keep the file. The next month we capture it again and compare the two. A script proposes candidates; a person reads the raw lines of both months and decides what actually happened. Currency selectors, failed captures and feature changes that move a number without moving a price are thrown out at that step.

The full registry across every tool we cover lives on AI Builder Marketplace.

Some links on this page are affiliate links: if you sign up we may earn a commission, at no cost to you, and it never changes what we write. The before and after lines are verbatim from our own captures.
