Qoyod Review (2026)Basic Stops at ZATCA Phase 1

By · Researched and written with an AI assistant · who does what

The entry tier does not do the thing the product is sold on.

Best for

Saudi businesses that need ZATCA-compliant e-invoicing from software built for that regime rather than retrofitted to it, and who have counted their users, locations and POS terminals before choosing a tier.

Skip it if

you operate outside Saudi Arabia — the entire value proposition is ZATCA compliance and Arabic-first accounting — or you are a single operator whose invoicing needs are met by a general tool at a fraction of the price.

Summarised from the pricing notes below; the notes carry the conditions.

Billed in Saudi riyal, which is pegged to the dollar at 3.75, so the conversion is exact rather than approximate. Annual pricing runs four tiers. Basic is 1,200 SAR (~$320) for 1 user and 1 location, covering ZATCA Phase 1, invoices, payments and credit notes. Pro is 1,800 SAR (~$480) for 3 users and 3 locations, adding ZATCA Phase 2, quotations and the full procurement cycle.

Advanced is 2,211 SAR (~$590) for 5 users and 5 locations, adding fixed-asset management, depreciation and accounting dimensions; that price is shown struck through from 3,300 SAR (~$880) under a “33% off for a 3-year term” banner. Enterprise is quote-only, with unlimited users, custom API integrations and a dedicated account manager. A free trial is offered, and the monthly toggle costs more — the site advertises “save up to 20%” on annual.

Full pricing notes (2 more paragraphs)

Add-ons are priced per year on top: payroll 120 SAR per active employee (~$32), POS 600 SAR per user (~$160), extra system users 240 SAR each (~$64) and extra locations 480 SAR each (~$128). (Re-verified 2026-09-18 on app.qoyod.com/home/select_plan, where the _en path then redirected to the Arabic view, and again on 2026-10-05, when the _en path served the English page: every tier and add-on unchanged, and the page names the trial as 14 days with no credit card required.

Note for the next reader that the page renders the riyal sign as a glyph font rather than text, so copied text shows bare numbers -- read the currency from the markup, because mistaking these for dollars is a factor of 3.75.)

What the price did

We capture Qoyod’s own pricing page every month and keep the figures, so this is our record of the page — not a forecast, and not someone else’s summary.

Three dated readings, no movement. On 18 August, 18 September and 5 October 2026 the plan page read Basic at 1,200 SAR a year, Pro at 1,800 SAR and Advanced at 2,211 SAR struck through from 3,300 SAR under the three-year 33% banner, with add-ons of 120 SAR per payroll employee, 600 SAR per POS user, 240 SAR per extra user and 480 SAR per extra location. Enterprise stayed quote-only throughout.

The honest knock

Qoyod's pitch is surviving Saudi e-invoicing, but Basic covers ZATCA Phase 1 only — Phase 2 is the integration phase, where invoices are cleared with the tax authority in real time, and that starts at Pro. If Phase 2 applies to you, your actual floor is 1,800 SAR and not 1,200. The second thing to price before you sign: Basic is genuinely one user and one location, and every extra seat is 240 SAR a year, which is a fifth of the whole Basic plan per person.

A four-person shop on Basic pays 1,200 + 3×240 = 1,920 SAR, more than Pro costs while still sitting on Phase 1. Add a single POS user at 600 SAR and the arithmetic tips further. Work out your seat and location count first, then pick the tier — doing it the other way round is how the add-on line becomes the biggest number on the invoice.

What buyers report about Qoyod

Hands-on: not tested by usReported by buyers: the Google Play listing for the Qoyod mobile app and the Capterra prof, read August 2026

Themes from the buyer-review sites listed at the foot of this page, read in August 2026. We have not run Qoyod ourselves, so this is other buyers' experience rather than ours. We summarise it here because the complaints are usually the part a vendor page leaves out.

What they praise
  • • Customer service comes up more than any feature. Reviewers in both Arabic and English describe support as excellent and reachable, and a March 2025 reviewer says the platform keeps getting better and fits a small business well.
  • • Ease of use for people without an accounting background — reviewers who describe themselves as non-accountants say invoicing and daily bookkeeping are manageable.
What they complain about
  • • The mobile app's stability is the dominant complaint. Reviewers report freezing on the first screen, the app working for two or three days and then needing a reinstall, and login or password-reset failures. A February 2026 reviewer says it mostly does not work and is not useful when it does.
  • • Updates break things: a July 2025 reviewer reports that after some updates parts of the system stop working.
  • • Parts of the product are browser-only. The March 2025 reviewer who otherwise praises it asks for product creation inside the app instead of the browser, and for a fuller HR module.
  • • Support silence in specific cases: a July 2025 reviewer says they cannot download the journal ledger report from the site and got no response from technical support.
  • • One December 2025 reviewer says they could not cancel their subscription or stop the card charges and resorted to cancelling the card. That is a single account and the vendor has not replied publicly to it, so treat it as one merchant's experience — but check the cancellation path before you enter card details.

Where the ratings disagree. The public record for Qoyod is thin in an unusual way. Capterra lists the product with zero reviews, and its G2 page is not readable without an account, so the only sizeable body of public buyer writing is the Google Play listing: 3.6 stars across roughly 200 reviews. That number rates the mobile app, not the accounting platform — almost every one-star there is about crashes, logins and updates rather than about bookkeeping, ZATCA filing or reporting. So the low score is evidence about the phone client and says nothing either way about the web product where the actual accounting happens.

When the paid plan is worth it

The tiers are cheap and the add-ons are where the money is, so build your total before comparing anything. These are annual rates. Basic is 1,200 SAR (about $320) for one user and one location with ZATCA Phase 1. Pro is 1,800 SAR (about $480) for three users and three locations, adding ZATCA Phase 2, quotations and the full procurement cycle. Advanced is 2,211 SAR (about $590) for five users and five locations with fixed assets, depreciation and accounting dimensions.

Because the riyal is pegged to the dollar at 3.75, those conversions are exact rather than approximate. The step that actually matters is Basic to Pro, and it is not about seats: ZATCA Phase 2 is the e-invoicing integration phase, so if your business falls under it, Pro is not an upgrade but the minimum. Check that before you price anything else. Then the add-ons, all per year on top: payroll at 120 SAR per active employee (about $32), point of sale at 600 SAR per user (about $160), extra system users at 240 SAR each (about $64) and extra locations at 480 SAR each (about $128).

Payroll for twenty staff is 2,400 SAR -- twice the entire Basic plan. A twenty-person shop on Pro with payroll and two POS users is 1,800 + 2,400 + 1,200 SAR, about $1,440 a year, against the $480 the tier suggests. One caution on the Advanced price: the 2,211 SAR is shown struck through from 3,300 SAR under a banner reading 33% off for a three-year term. That is a three-year commitment, not a discount on the annual plan, so read which one you are agreeing to.

How to actually use Qoyod

Establish which ZATCA phase applies to you before you look at a single price, because that decision picks your tier for you: Phase 1 fits Basic, Phase 2 puts you on Pro at minimum. Then count three numbers — users, locations, POS terminals — and add them up at 240, 480 and 600 SAR a year respectively, since those add-ons are what separate the headline from the invoice. Use the free trial to test the part that is hardest to undo: import your existing data early rather than at the end, because migration is the step where accounting switches actually fail.

The 33% Advanced discount is tied to a three-year commitment, so treat it as a three-year decision and not a discount.

Frequently asked questions

Which Qoyod tier do I actually need for ZATCA?

That depends on your phase, and it is the only question that should pick your tier. As last verified on 5 October 2026 (prices read in-browser on app.qoyod.com, because qoyod.com/en/pricing refuses plain requests), Basic at 1,200 SAR a year covers ZATCA Phase 1 for one user and one location. Phase 2 — the integration phase, where invoices are cleared with the tax authority — starts at Pro, 1,800 SAR a year for three users and three locations, which also brings quotations and the full procurement cycle. Advanced at 2,211 SAR adds fixed assets, depreciation and accounting dimensions for five users and five locations; Enterprise is quote-only. So if Phase 2 applies to your business, your real floor is 1,800 SAR and not the 1,200 on the front of the price list. The riyal is pegged to the dollar at 3.75, so those are roughly $320, $480 and $590 exactly rather than approximately.

What do extra users, locations and payroll cost on top?

Enough to overtake the plan itself, which is the trap in this price list. The add-ons are billed per year on top of the tier, as verified on 5 September and again on 5 October 2026: extra system users 240 SAR each (about $64), extra locations 480 SAR each (about $128), point of sale 600 SAR per user (about $160) and payroll 120 SAR per active employee (about $32). Do the arithmetic before you pick a tier rather than after. A four-person shop on Basic pays 1,200 plus three seats at 240, which is 1,920 SAR — more than Pro costs while still sitting on Phase 1. And because payroll is charged per head, a business with twenty people on the books adds 2,400 SAR for that one module alone. Put it together and a twenty-person business on Pro with payroll and two POS users lands near 5,400 SAR, about $1,440 a year, against the $480 the tier headline suggests. Count seats, locations and terminals first.

Is the discount on Advanced a real saving?

It is a real reduction and a three-year decision, which are not the same thing. Verified 5 September and again 5 October 2026: Advanced shows 2,211 SAR struck through from 3,300 SAR under a banner reading 33% off for a three-year term. So the lower number is not this year’s price for a yearly commitment — it is the rate for signing up to three years of an accounting platform, which is the software you are least likely to want to move mid-term and most likely to regret being locked into. Price the alternative honestly: Pro at 1,800 SAR a year with no multi-year term, against Advanced at 2,211 with one. The monthly toggle costs more in any case — the site advertises up to 20% off for paying annually — and a 14-day free trial is offered without a credit card, so use it on your own data before either commitment. Migration is the step where accounting switches actually fail.
