These seven tools answer five different reporting questions. Find yours, then compare only the tools in that row.
| Your job | Tools in this guide | What sets the bill |
|---|---|---|
| KPI dashboards for your own business | Databox, Diginius | Databox: data sources per plan (Free 3, Analyst 5 at $71 a month billed annually). Diginius: plan tiers from $75 a month with keyword, page and lead limits. |
| Client reports for an agency | AgencyAnalytics | Clients: about $20 per client a month billed annually, none included; above 25 clients it is a quote. |
| Group finance across several entities | Joiin, Datarails | Joiin: legal entities, from $23 a month for one company billed annually. Datarails: no public price, quote only. |
| Social media reporting | Iconosquare | Social profiles: free for 2, Starter EUR 9 a month billed yearly for 3. |
| Shopify margins and unit sales | EcomXray | A free tier inside Shopify; Pro is a flat $29 a month. |
Dashboard tools almost never charge you for the dashboard. They charge for what you plug into it, and every vendor picks a different dial. Read on their own pricing pages: Databox meters data sources — Free covers three sources and one dashboard, Analyst is $71 a month for five and Team Core $199 for ten on annual billing (12 September 2026). AgencyAnalytics meters clients: about $20 per client a month on annual billing with none included, and past 25 clients the vendor quotes instead of publishing (11 September 2026). Joiin meters legal entities, at $23 a month for one company on annual billing and $57 for five (17 August 2026). Diginius sells plan tiers — Essential $75, Pro $250, Core $500 a month — whose keyword, page and lead limits rise with the price; it no longer publishes seat counts (22 September 2026). Iconosquare meters social profiles: free for two, Starter EUR 9 a month billed yearly for three, Launch EUR 33 for five (15 September 2026). And Datarails meters nothing you can see: all three plans carry a Request Quote button where the number belongs (25 August 2026). So the first question is not which dashboard looks best in a demo. It is which job you are reporting on, and which dial that job is about to spin.
Start with the job, then the dial. Reporting on your own business, reporting to clients, consolidating several legal entities, social media and Shopify margins are five different purchases, and each tool here meters a different thing: data sources, clients, entities, social profiles or a plan tier. Count your own number for that dial, then price a year out rather than today, because these tools are chosen when you have three sources and paid for when you have twelve. If only you read the dashboard, a free Looker Studio build costs a weekend and nothing a month; if clients read it, white-label reporting is the product you are buying, and it is priced per client. Before you sign, check the integration list against the tools you genuinely use: a missing connector turns a dashboard into a spreadsheet export with extra steps.
| Job | Tool | Best for | Entry price & terms | Skip it if |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| KPI dashboards for your own business | Databox | clean KPI dashboards from 130+ one-click integrations without building them by hand; the free plan covers three sources and one dashboard | Free plan; Analyst $71 a month billed annually (1 user, 5 sources, 150 AI credits) | you want to stay on Free without friction — in our test the Free button opened a Team Core trial, the one free dashboard slot was taken by Databox's sample dashboard, and spreadsheets are not connectable on Free at all — or you need deep custom data modelling, where free Looker Studio fits better |
| KPI dashboards for your own business | Diginius | lean teams and agencies that want PPC, SEO and lead intelligence consolidated in one dashboard instead of five subscriptions | Essential $75/mo (USD) | your growth lives in one channel where a specialist tool's depth pays for itself, or you need enterprise analytics rigour |
| Client reports for an agency | AgencyAnalytics | marketing agencies that need white-label client reports from 85+ integrations: automated, on-brand and hands-off | $20 per client a month on annual billing ($25 monthly), no clients included -- above 25 clients it is a quote | you are a solo operator with a couple of data sources, because the per-client meter turns a growing roster into a four-figure monthly bill |
| Group finance across several entities | Joiin | finance teams and accountants consolidating multi-entity, multi-currency group reporting from Xero, QuickBooks or Sage without hand-built spreadsheets | $28 a month for one company on Core, billed annually ($35 monthly); Pro $34, Max $45; unlimited users | you run a single entity, where your accounting platform's own reports already cover it, or your ledgers sit outside the supported integrations |
| Group finance across several entities | Datarails | Excel-bound finance teams that have outgrown the spreadsheet plumbing but not the spreadsheets — several entities consolidated into one governed set of numbers | See review | you are a single-entity company whose budget lives in one workbook: the quote-only sales motion costs more elapsed time than the problem is worth |
| Social media reporting | Iconosquare | agencies and brands that want deep social analytics, reporting and competitor benchmarking alongside scheduling, especially Instagram-first teams | Free for 2 profiles; Starter EUR 9/mo billed yearly (EUR 11 monthly) | a single free native analytics view already answers your questions, or you need a publishing workhorse across many niche platforms |
| Shopify margins and unit sales | EcomXray | Shopify merchants who want cost price, gross margin and clean net unit sales inside the admin instead of exporting to a spreadsheet | $29 (Pro) — per month for in-place product editing, SEO fields and automatic redirects, publishing to channels, the full activity log and the Chrome extension | you sell across several channels and need cross-platform inventory sync, or you want an app with a longer public track record |
Prices are the entry terms in our dossier for each tool, with the billing basis where the vendor publishes it. Currencies are shown as the vendor lists them; we do not convert. Check the live pricing page before you buy.
Centralized KPI dashboards. Pull data from all your software tools into one clean interface to monitor your business health. A free Skills Marketplace adds guided analyses on top: the paid-ads skill standardizes every ad channel into one efficiency table with CPA gauges against your own targets, judged per funnel role. A native MCP server (mcp.databox.com) puts those metrics inside ChatGPT or Claude — ingest data and query it in plain language. It runs on every paid plan, not on Free, and its queries spend from the same monthly AI-credit pool as Genie.
Skip it if you want to stay on Free without friction — in our test the Free button opened a Team Core trial, the one free dashboard slot was taken by Databox's sample dashboard, and spreadsheets are not connectable on Free at all — or you need deep custom data modelling, where free Looker Studio fits better.

Databox prices data sources, AgencyAnalytics prices clients, Joiin prices the legal entities you consolidate, Iconosquare prices social profiles, and Diginius sells plan tiers with keyword, page and lead limits. Databox lists a free plan with three data sources, one user and one dashboard (pricing page, 12 September 2026). In our own test on 25 September the sign-up opened a 14-day Team Core trial rather than Free, the downgrade was blocked until we deleted Databox's sample data, and the one free dashboard slot stayed taken by their sample dashboard. EcomXray's analytics inside Shopify are free, with Pro at $29 a month (8 September 2026), and Iconosquare is free for two social profiles (15 September 2026). Outside this list, Google's Looker Studio is free and more flexible, but you build and maintain the connections yourself.
Datarails publishes three plans and puts a Request Quote button where every price should be, which we read on 25 August 2026. That is a legitimate model for enterprise FP&A, but it means you cannot compare it on cost without entering a sales process — worth knowing before you spend a week in one.
On some of them, and it never changes the ordering or the wording. Every price above was read on the vendor's own pricing page on the date shown, and where a programme has ended or we are not in it, the link is a plain one and the page says so.
