Formation is the cheap part; the recurring bookkeeping and tax tiers are where the real cost sits, and state fees are extra on top of doola's price. Convenient especially for non-US founders, but a local accountant may be cheaper once you're established.

The August sale has ended, so these are the list prices again. Starter is $297 a year plus state fees and covers LLC or C-Corp formation, EIN, a registered agent and a US address; state filing fees run $50 to $500 depending on the state, and they are yours, not doola's. Pulse bookkeeping comes with a 30-day trial and renews at $300 a year.
Tax and Compliance, the tier the page marks Most Popular, is $1,999 a year plus state fees. Business-in-a-Box is $2,999 a year, or $329 a month, plus state fees. doola's own FAQ states that all plans are billed annually. Worth knowing for timing: through 31 August the page ran an automatic discount of up to $750 that could not be combined with anything else, which showed $222, $1,499 and $2,249 for those three tiers.
That window closed on 31 August, which is precisely why our reader code applies again from 1 September. Plans change — always verify the live price on their site.
AIBUILDER10 — 10% off your first purchase of a Starter, Tax and Compliance or Business-in-a-Box plan, supplied by doola via PartnerStack on 5 Aug 2026 and pinned down in writing on 10 Aug 2026 with no end date — a one-off discount on the plan you buy first, not a rate that returns at renewal. Check the sale before you type it: through 31 August 2026 doola takes up to $750 off all plans automatically at checkout — its pricing page showed $222, $1,499 and $2,249 for the three plans when we looked on 24 Aug 2026 — and doola's own terms bar combining that with anything else, so the sale wins until it ends and our 10% applies to a first plan purchase from 1 September for referrals, verified in the partner dashboard. The list prices have not moved: our July and August 2026 captures both carry $297, the $300/yr renewal, $1,999 and $2,999, and those same list figures were on the page on 17 August 2026. What is new on the day we re-read it is the discount — $1,999 shown struck through at $1,599 and $2,999 at $2,399. The list is stable; the offer on top of it is not. Re-read on 24 August 2026: the same list figures were still there, and the discount on top had grown from 20% to 25% — $222, $1,499 and $2,249, badged as up to $750 off all plans and running under a countdown that doola's partner mail dates to 31 August 2026.

Business formation and compliance made easy. Launch your US LLC or C-Corp from anywhere globally, complete with banking and tax management.

Recurring themes from the buyer-review sites listed at the foot of this page, read in August 2026. We have not run doola ourselves, so this is other buyers' experience rather than ours. We summarise it here because the complaints are usually the part a vendor page leaves out.
Where the ratings disagree. 4.7 on Trustpilot against 1 star at the BBB. Trustpilot captures the formation experience, which people mostly like; the BBB captures what happens when someone wants their money back.
doola's entry point, Starter at $297/year plus state fees, covers LLC formation, EIN application, a registered agent, and a US address — enough for a solo founder who already handles bookkeeping and taxes elsewhere. The concrete push toward paying more is tax filing: Starter explicitly excludes federal and state tax filing and bookkeeping tools, so anyone who needs those must jump to Tax and Compliance at $1,999/year. A dedicated bookkeeper and monthly financial statements are gated further, at Business-in-a-Box, $2,999/year or $329/month.
What no tier changes: EIN turnaround is set by the IRS, not by doola's plan — without a US Social Security Number, doola's own materials cite 4-6 weeks, extending to 8-10 weeks during tax season, regardless of which package you buy. State filing fees are also billed separately from every tier, so upgrading doesn't roll those into the subscription price.
Our monthly capture read this vendor's pricing page in July 2026 and again in August 2026, and the amounts were the same both times. We keep watching — the registry records what moves.
Getting started means creating a doola account and submitting company name, state, member details, address, phone, and email — a step doola describes as taking about 15 minutes with no documents required up front. doola then files the LLC, averaging about a week depending on state. The formation documents needed for banking and tax purposes become available in 1-2 business days for US residents. Opening a US bank account through doola's partner portal then takes another 3-5 business days, requiring a passport for international founders or a government ID for US residents.
The recurring bottleneck reported is the EIN for founders without a US Social Security Number: doola's own guidance cites 4-6 weeks, extending to 8-10 weeks during tax season, since that step depends on IRS processing rather than doola's own speed. Until the EIN arrives, both bank account approval and tax filing stay blocked.

The natural comparison is Firstbase or a local accountant — other formation services, or doing it yourself.
Everything we publish about doola links back here — the review stays the honest hub:
The ex-banker filter — the same yardstick on every review (how we review): My ex-banker filter is simple: does doola remove a real cost — time, errors, missed revenue — bigger than what it charges? If the job above is genuinely yours, it's worth a look. We never publish fake or “exclusive” prices, so always confirm the current plan on their site.
$297 for the first year on Starter, plus your state's filing fee, which runs between $50 and $500 depending on the state. That covers formation, EIN, registered agent and a US address, and renews at $300 a year. Read on 17 August 2026.
Tax and Compliance at $1,999 a year and Business-in-a-Box at $2,999 add filings, compliance and bookkeeping support rather than more formation. Both were discounted 25% when we read the page on 24 August 2026 — to $1,499 and $2,249, part of an up-to-$750-off sale that doola dates to 31 August — so check whether that offer is still running before working from the list price.
State fees, always, and they are the part that varies most by where you incorporate. Budget $50 to $500 on top of whichever package you take, and note that the renewal ($300 on Starter) is slightly above the first-year price rather than below it.
doola isn't a bank and it doesn't hold or move your money. It forms the entity, acts as registered agent and keeps the filings and books straight; where it helps you open a US business account, the account and the balance sit with the partner bank, not with doola. So judge it on filing accuracy and accountability rather than custody: who is registered agent of record, what happens — and who pays — if a filing or return is late or wrong, how your EIN and identity documents are stored, and whether you can move your entity and records elsewhere without a fight. Get those answers in writing before you commit to a multi-year bundle.
