Their own site does not agree with itself about what this costs, and we have now checked that twice.

✓ Pricing re-verified 26 Aug 2026
(2026-08-12, read on their own pricing page; re-verified 2026-08-26) Four tiers, billed monthly: Starter at 0$/month, Essential at 19.99$/month and Pro at 49.99$/month, printed as “49,99$” with a comma on the page itself. Enterprise is “Contact us for custom plan”, with no figure at all. A banner offers the first 30 days of the Enterprise plan free if you book a demo now.
The Monthly / Yearly toggle has moved about: it advertised Yearly (-20%) on 12 Aug, was absent on 18 Aug, and on 26 Aug reads Yearly (-17%). What it does not do is print an annual figure — with Yearly selected, every paid card still reads “billed monthly” at the monthly price, so the page offers 17% off and never says off what.
Nouswise confirmed on 18 Aug that annual billing exists, so ask for the annual rate in writing before you commit to it. What you actually get per tier is capped rather than priced separately. Sources run 50 on Starter and 300 on Essential, unlimited above that. File size runs 100 MB / 300 MB / 2 GB / unlimited, and audio recap 5 / 20 / 10 per day — Essential's ceiling is higher than Pro's, the only row on the table that falls at the top instead of climbing.
Reports, flashcards, quizzes, mind maps, deep research, data tables, infographics and slide decks run 8 / 25 / 120 per day. Projects are unlimited on every tier, and a footnote under the table explains the asterisk on those daily limits: “Limits are accumulative”. Three capabilities are not metered but simply switched off lower down: MCP tools, web search and the shared workspace carry a cross on both Starter and Essential and only appear from Pro up, so the two cheapest plans are the product without its integrations.
Read the caps before the price: on the individual tiers the source limit and the per-day ceilings, not the monthly fee, are what decides whether this fits. Plans change — always verify the live price on their site.
86ECADE3E22E — 10% off the first six months of Essential or Pro, on annual as well as monthly billing, with no expiry date on the code — the terms Nouswise put in writing on 18 Aug 2026, after we asked them what it did. Worth knowing before you type it: the same string is our own PartnerStack tracking key, which Nouswise says is deliberate so the sale is credited to us, so watch that the total actually drops on the plan you pick for referrals, verified in the partner dashboard.
The pricing page says Essential 19.99$/month and Pro 49.99$/month; the homepage, read the same day, shows a pricing block with $10.00 and $40.00. We put the gap to Nouswise, and on 18 Aug 2026 their partner manager answered that the homepage figures are a counter animation and that a normal browser with JavaScript enabled would show 19.99 and 49.99. We did exactly that check the same day — an ordinary browser, JavaScript on, waiting for the animation to settle — and the homepage still read $10.00 for Essential and $40.00 for Professional.
So the gap is real, the vendor's own explanation for it did not hold, and neither page flags the other. Get the number in writing for the tier and the billing period you want before you put a card in, because there is a documented chance of paying double what a landing page just promised you. The headline claim needs the same care. The homepage says “100% Verifiable AI Answers” and that answers are “solely drawn from the provided sources, reducing any fact fabrication to zero”.
That is Nouswise describing Nouswise: nobody independent has tested it and neither have we. Grounding an answer in a curated library genuinely does cut invention, but it does not make retrieval, ranking or summarising error-free, and it cannot make an answer better than the library it came from. If your library is thin, outdated or one-sided, a confident grounded answer is still the wrong answer — with a citation attached.
Two other numbers on that page, the 25% of the workweek spent searching and the 2.4 billion hours a year inside the Fortune 500, carry no source on the page at all. Three smaller things worth knowing. The source ceilings are low for organisational use — 50 documents on Starter, 300 on Essential — and unlimited sources only start at Pro. The per-day limits on reports, flashcards and quizzes carry an asterisk explained only as “Limits are accumulative”, which tells you the allowances add up but not what happens once you reach the ceiling.
And the page has a visible rough edge: a trial banner written as “first 30 days enterprise plan are free trial if you book now”. That is a fair signal about how closely the commercial pages are maintained — the kind of place a stale price hides.
AI research agent that answers only from a library you curate — your documents plus vetted sources — with reports, flashcards and audio recaps on every tier, and MCP tools, web search and a shared workspace only from Pro up. Built for knowledge-intensive and regulated organisations: SOC 1 / SOC 2 Type I/II, data in Europe or the US, and an on-premises install for confidential material. Published pricing is 0$ Starter, 19.99$/month Essential and 49.99$/month Pro with Enterprise on quote (re-verified 18 Aug 2026), but their own homepage still shows $10 and $40 for the same tiers — Nouswise says that is an animation artefact, we re-checked in a normal browser and it is not — so get the figure confirmed before you subscribe. The “100% verifiable, zero fabrication” claim is the vendor's own.

Read the caps before the price, because on the individual tiers it is the limits and not the fee that decides fit. Starter is $0, Essential $19.99 a month and Pro $49.99, with Enterprise on quote. Sources are capped at 50 on Starter and 300 on Essential, and only go unlimited from Pro. File size runs 100 MB, 300 MB, 2 GB. And the daily ceilings on reports, flashcards, quizzes, mind maps, deep research, data tables, infographics and slide decks are 8, 25 and 120.
Three capabilities are not metered at all but simply switched off lower down, and this is the real tier boundary. MCP tools, web search and the shared workspace carry a cross on both Starter and Essential. They appear only from Pro up. So the two cheapest plans are the product without its integrations — a private library rather than a connected assistant. If you want it in your existing tooling, the entry price is $49.99 and the tiers below are not cheaper versions of that.
A warning about the number itself, because we have now checked it twice. The pricing page says Essential $19.99 and Pro $49.99; the homepage, read the same day, shows $10.00 and $40.00. Nouswise's partner manager told us on 18 August 2026 that the homepage figures are a counter animation and a normal browser would settle on 19.99 and 49.99. We repeated the check that day in an ordinary browser with JavaScript on, waited for the animation to finish, and the homepage still read $10.00 and $40.00.
The gap is real, the explanation did not hold, and neither page flags the other. Get the figure in writing for the tier and billing period you want before entering a card — there is a documented chance of paying double what a landing page just promised. One more thing the caps do not tell you. A footnote explains the asterisk on the daily limits only as 'Limits are accumulative'.
That says the allowances add up, but not what happens when you reach the ceiling. Worth asking, since on Essential's 25 a day that ceiling arrives inside a working week.
Get the price in writing for your tier and billing period before you put a card in, because their own pages disagree. The pricing page reads $19.99 for Essential and $49.99 for Pro; the homepage, read the same day, shows $10.00 and $40.00. Their partner manager told us the homepage figures are a counter animation. We ran exactly that check the same day: ordinary browser, JavaScript on, animation left to settle.
The homepage still read $10.00. Neither page flags the other, so there is a documented chance of paying double what a landing page just promised you. Then read the caps rather than the price, because on the individual tiers that is what decides fit. Sources are limited to 50 on Starter and 300 on Essential, unlimited only from Pro. File size runs 100 MB, 300 MB and 2 GB. And reports, flashcards, quizzes, mind maps, deep research and slide decks are capped per day at 8, 25 and 120.
Projects are unlimited everywhere. Check three capabilities that are switched off rather than metered: MCP tools, web search and the shared workspace carry a cross on both Starter and Essential. The two cheapest plans are therefore the product without its integrations: a private library rather than a connected assistant. If you want it in your own toolchain, your entry is Pro. And test the grounding claim on your own material.
'Solely drawn from the provided sources' is Nouswise describing Nouswise; grounding genuinely cuts invention but cannot make an answer better than the library it came from. Load your most disorganised real set of documents, ask something where two sources disagree, and see what comes back.
Both columns come from the same place: each vendor’s own published pricing, read on the date shown in the sources at the foot of this page. We do not average them into a score.
The Nouswise link above is an affiliate link — we may earn a commission if you sign up, at no extra cost to you — and the other column is a plain link. Neither changes what this table says: both columns come straight from the vendors’ own pricing pages.
The natural comparison is Claude — the comparison most readers will actually make, because Essential at 19.99$/month lands within pennies of Claude Pro at $20/mo (about $17 billed annually, our dossier). For that money Claude gives you Projects, where you upload your own files and ask questions over them, plus a general assistant for everything else. Nouswise deliberately gives you less: answers only from the library you curate, and no general knowledge to fall back on. That restriction is the product — it is what a compliance, policy or legal reader is buying, together with on-premises deployment, SOC 1 / SOC 2 Type I/II and data residency in a region you pick, none of which Claude Pro offers a single user. The trade runs the other way too: Claude has no 50-or-300-source ceiling and no per-day cap on reports, and it will answer the question that falls outside your documents. So the honest split is not which is better but which failure you can live with — an answer that reaches beyond your vetted sources, or no answer at all.
Everything we publish about Nouswise links back here — the review stays the honest hub:
The ex-banker filter — the same yardstick on every review (how we review): My ex-banker filter is simple: does Nouswise remove a real cost — time, errors, missed revenue — bigger than what it charges? If the job above is genuinely yours, it's worth a look. We never publish fake or “exclusive” prices, so always confirm the current plan on their site.
Judge it on evidence rather than adjectives. Look for a published security page, single sign-on and role controls on the plan you would actually buy (they are often gated to higher tiers), a status page with real incident history, and a clear answer on where your data is stored. If the tool will hold anything sensitive, those four answers matter more than any feature comparison.
