Seven named packages and not one price.
fleets that want safety cameras, telematics and equipment tracking from one vendor and are prepared to negotiate a multi-package quote.
you run a handful of vehicles and want a price before a sales call: Samsara publishes none, and the terms renew automatically unless you cancel in writing 30 days before the end.

✓ Pricing re-verified 10 Oct 2026
No prices are shown. The pricing page opens a form that first asks how many vehicles or assets you have (1-5, 6-29, 30-499, 500-4,999 or 5,000+) and prints no figure. The Pricing and Plans page names seven packages: Safety Premier and Safety Enterprise, Telematics Premier and Telematics Enterprise, Standard Visibility and Advanced Tracking for trailers and equipment, and the Fleet Application Suite.
Every one of them ends in a Get pricing button; none carries a per-vehicle rate, a hardware cost or a contract length. Plans change — always verify the live price on their site.
The pricing page asks how many vehicles you run and leads to a sales form; the plans page ends every package in Get pricing. The contract side is public and worth reading before the call: under section 13.1 of the Platform Terms, if you do not cancel auto-renewal in writing at least 30 days before the licence ends, Samsara may renew for up to a year or the length of your previous term, whichever is greater.
Put that date in your calendar on day one. Licensed hardware is covered for as long as the licence runs; accessories and cables get one year.
Fleet operations platform: AI dash cams, GPS telematics, ELD compliance and trailer and equipment tracking, sold as separate packages to fleets.

Samsara splits its offer into three tracks, each with a Premier-style entry and an upgrade. In Safety, Premier covers AI event detection, in-cab coaching and alerts and a safety inbox; Enterprise adds what Samsara calls 30+ risk detections with context, weather risk alerts and coaching, training and worker-safety tools. In Telematics, Premier covers real-time vehicle location and health, idling and fuel insight and maintenance planning; Enterprise adds AI fuel-lifecycle insight, TMS integrations and route-performance tools.
For trailers and equipment, Standard Visibility is compact tracking devices and Advanced Tracking adds diagnostics and usage data. Whether an Enterprise tier is worth it cannot be judged from the outside, because none of the seven packages shows a price. What the plans page does settle is that safety, telematics and equipment are bought as separate packages, so a quote for "Samsara" is really a quote for a combination; ask for each package as its own line.
There is no self-serve path with a published price: samsara.com/pricing starts with a fleet-size question and leads to a sales form. Before you fill it in, decide which of the three tracks you need (safety, telematics, trailers and equipment), because they are separate packages. Read the Platform Terms of Service before signing: section 13.1 lets Samsara renew the licence for up to one year, or the length of the previous term, unless you give written notice at least 30 days before the licence expiration date.
Once you have an account, the developer docs say API tokens are created in the dashboard under Settings, API Tokens, Add an API Token; the token is shown in plaintext only once, can be limited to objects with certain tags, and goes in a Bearer Authorization header from a server-side application. The documented ceiling is 150 requests per second per token and 200 per organisation, with 429 returned beyond that.

All are vendor-published pages, not independent reviews. Samsara is a PartnerStack partner of ours. We have not used Samsara ourselves.
Where a vendor publishes a price, its column shows the entry price we read and when; where it does not, the column says so rather than filling in a figure from elsewhere. We do not average them into a score.
The Samsara link above is an affiliate link — we may earn a commission if you sign up, at no extra cost to you — and the other column is a plain link. Neither changes what this table says.
The natural comparison is Motive — the closest peer and also quote-only; ask both for the same vehicle count, the same packages and the same term, and compare the renewal and early-exit terms as well as the per-vehicle rate.
No figure is published. Read on 10 October 2026: samsara.com/pricing opens a form asking how many vehicles or assets you have, and samsara.com/resources/plans names seven packages (Safety Premier and Enterprise, Telematics Premier and Enterprise, Standard Visibility, Advanced Tracking and the Fleet Application Suite) that each end in a Get pricing button. There is no per-vehicle rate, hardware cost or contract length on either page.
Under section 13.1 of the Platform Terms of Service, read on 10 October 2026: unless you notify Samsara in writing at least 30 days before the licence expiration date, Samsara may renew the licence for up to the greater of one year, the length of the previous term, or a period that aligns it with your other orders. Diarise the notice date when you sign.
The Hardware Warranty page, read on 10 October 2026, says licensed hardware (SKUs with a LIC- prefix) is covered for as long as you keep a valid licence for it, and that other hardware such as accessories and cables has a one-year warranty from shipment.
