Read on 5 October 2026, the Shopify App Store listing says the app is not currently available and sends support questions to the vendor: no install button, no review page.
merchants moving an existing store into Shopify who want products, customers, orders and — critically — URLs and 301 redirects preserved, who are willing to pay the $29 add-on that carries those redirects on the self-service route, and who would rather pay once than subscribe to a tool they will use for a week.
you are migrating away from Shopify or between two other platforms, since this only imports into Shopify; or you want one firm number before you start, because the price still depends on your record counts and on which of the priced add-ons your source platform turns out to need; or you need to install from the Shopify App Store today, where the listing is not available as of 5 October 2026.

The App Store listing has gone. Read on 5 October 2026 it says “This app is not currently available on the Shopify App Store. If you have support questions, contact Migrationpro, LLC directly.” — no plan block, no install button, no review record — and its reviews page answers 404. On 18 September it still showed one plan, free to install, with the line that pricing is tailored to the entities you migrate and no subscription fees, billed in USD.
The vendor's own homepage and pricing page are unchanged and still send every install button to that listing. The numbers live on the vendor's own pricing page, which quotes on your product, customer and order counts. Two routes are sold there, both one-time payments rather than subscriptions. The Automated app plan, where you run the migration yourself, starts at $29 based on store size.
The Done-for-you plan, where their team handles mapping, testing and go-live with a dedicated specialist, starts at $300 with every add-on included. Both carry a 30-day guarantee, need no credit card, and begin with a free demo of up to 10 products, customers and orders. What has changed since 23 August is the add-on table: each one now carries a price. 301 redirects, order ID preservation, categories mapped to automated collections and content images are $29 each; customer groups to tags and default stock quantity are $19 each; spam customer detection, active products only and tax-inclusive pricing are $39 each; merging short and long descriptions, generating variants from options and resetting the target store are free.
The homepage puts a typical store at $49 to $299 on actual record counts, and the FAQ says most stores finish in one to three hours, with 10,000+ products taking longer but still completing the same day. The app is English-only, migrates from WooCommerce, Wix, Squarespace, BigCommerce, Magento, PrestaShop, OpenCart, Shopware, Etsy, Amazon, CSV and Excel among others, and covers products, customers, orders, collections, images, URLs and 301 redirects, with Smart Sync to re-import data changed during the run.
Developer Migrationpro, LLC, Dover, Delaware; the app launched 10 May 2022, and on 18 September 2026, the last time the listing was readable, it carried 186 reviews averaging 5.0 — 181 five-star, 4 four-star and one at a single star. Note that migrationpro.io/pricing without the trailing slash now answers 308.

We capture MigrationPro’s own pricing page every month and keep the figures, so this is our record of the page — not a forecast, and not someone else’s summary.
Three readings of the vendor's price list, no movement on the base. On 23 August, 18 September and 5 October 2026 the self-run migration started at $29 and the done-for-you plan at $300, both one-time payments. Between August and September the add-on table gained a price on every row, $19 to $39 each, and on 5 October it read the same. The App Store listing printed no amount on any reading, and on 5 October it was no longer available at all.

The vendor's site is still live and still selling, and every install button on its homepage and pricing page still points at that listing, so ask them how you install before you plan a migration date around it. When the listing was up it told you nothing about what this costs: “Free to install. Additional charges may apply”, and a single plan block saying pricing is tailored to the entities you migrate.
The number lives on the vendor's calculator, and the first number you find there — $29 — is the floor for the smallest store on the self-service route, not the price for yours. Their own homepage says a typical store lands between $49 and $299. Run the calculator before you form an opinion about value. The add-on structure used to be the unknowable part, and as of 18 September 2026 it is not: the pricing page lists every add-on with a price, from $19 to $39, and marks all of them included on the managed plan.
That is a real improvement in what a buyer can read before committing. It also makes the self-service route look less like $29 — the 301 redirects add-on, which is the one thing a migrating store can least afford to get wrong, is a $29 extra on a $29 migration. The marketing still runs ahead of the evidence. The pricing page says “Trusted by 250,000+ stores”, the homepage uses the same figure for migrations, and the FAQ says 250,000+ migrations over 13 years — one number doing three different jobs.
The same page, and an FAQ answer saying the app is available on the Shopify App Store, still claim 5.0 from 170+ verified reviews, which nobody can check while the listing is down. On 18 September it showed 186, of which 181 were five-star, 4 four-star and one a single star. Those reviews were genuinely good; weigh them rather than the banner. One practical limit sits in the reviews rather than the marketing.
The FAQ says most stores finish in one to three hours and that 10,000+ products may take longer but still complete the same day, while a merchant migrating a very large catalogue in July 2026 wrote plainly that large volumes take a very long time and that the team helped speed it up. If you are moving tens of thousands of records, let the free demo and your own record count decide which of those two you are, not the FAQ.

Hands-on: not tested by usReported by buyers: Shopify App Store, read August 2026
Themes from the buyer-review sites listed at the foot of this page, read in August 2026. We have not run MigrationPro ourselves, so this is other buyers' experience rather than ours. We summarise it here because the complaints are usually the part a vendor page leaves out.
Where the ratings disagree. Almost every substantive review describes the assisted route — a named person doing or supervising the migration — while the listing's headline offer is the self-run automated plan starting at $29. If you plan to run it yourself, the public record is mostly not about your path; the four-star reviews are not shown in the filtered view, so the only unassisted account on the listing is the 19-minute one-star.
The choice here is not a tier, it is make-or-buy on a job you will do exactly once. Automated app starts at $29 and you run it. Done-for-you starts at $300 and their specialist runs it, tests it and stands by the go-live. That gap is roughly $271 at the floor, and the honest way to price it is against your own hours. The add-ons close the gap faster than those two floors suggest, and since September the vendor prints what each one costs.
Four are $29 apiece — 301 redirects, order ID preservation, category-to-collection mapping and content images — three are $39 and two are $19. A store that wants its redirects, its order numbers and its blog images has added $87 to a $29 migration before a single record is counted, and all three are inside the $300 price already. So run the calculator with your real counts, tick the add-ons you actually need, and compare those totals rather than the headline floors.
What both routes share is the best thing here: one payment, no subscription, and a free demo of ten records before you pay anything.
Run the free demo before you read another word of marketing. Ten products, ten customers and ten orders at no charge, on your real data, is the only test that tells you whether the field mapping survives contact with your particular store — and mapping, not volume, is where migrations actually fail. Pick the ten deliberately. Take your most awkward records rather than your simplest: the product with thirty variants, the one with metafields your theme depends on, the customer with a long order history, the order with a partial refund.
A demo that moves ten clean products proves nothing you did not already assume. Then check the SEO side specifically, because it is the part nobody notices until traffic drops. Confirm the URLs and 301 redirects came across the way you expect on those ten, and keep a list of your top twenty organic landing pages to verify by hand after the full run. Smart Sync will re-import data that changed while you were testing, so you can take that time without your source store standing still.
apps.shopify.com/migrationpro-shopify-migration-app, migrationpro.io/pricing/ and migrationpro.io — the plan block, the two route cards, the priced add-on table, the FAQ and the homepage's typical-price claim. First read 23 August 2026, re-read 18 September 2026. The demo and add-on questions were answered on 19 September 2026 from the vendor's help centre: help.migrationpro.io articles “What is Demo Migration? Free Test Migration Before You Buy” and “Additional Options”. Re-read 5 October 2026: App Store listing "This app is not currently available on the Shopify App Store" (served HTML and headless Chromium), /reviews 404; migrationpro.io/pricing/ unchanged ($29 and $300, add-ons $19/$29/$39 and free, 250,000+ and 170+ claims); migrationpro.io homepage unchanged ($49 to $299, FAQ still says available on the Shopify App Store), all install links still to the listing.
Not as of 5 October 2026. apps.shopify.com/migrationpro-shopify-migration-app now reads that the app is not currently available on the Shopify App Store and directs support questions to Migrationpro, LLC, with no plan block, no install button and no reviews; its reviews page answers 404. On 18 September the same listing was live with 186 reviews. The vendor's homepage and pricing page, re-read the same day, are unchanged: prices, add-ons and the free demo are all still there, and every “start free demo” and install button still points at the listing that no longer offers an install. From outside we cannot tell whether the listing is withdrawn, suspended or briefly pulled, and the vendor does not say. Ask them how you install today, and how you will be billed outside the App Store, before you plan a migration date around it.
Record counts plus add-ons, and as of 18 September 2026 you can price the second half yourself. The vendor's calculator quotes the base on your product, customer and order counts — $29 is the floor for the smallest store and their homepage puts a typical one at $49 to $299. On top of that the pricing page now lists each add-on with its own price: 301 redirects $29, order ID preservation $29, categories mapped to automated collections $29, content images $29, customer groups to tags $19, default stock quantity $19, spam customer detection $39, active products only $39, tax-inclusive pricing $39, with merging descriptions, generating variants from options and resetting the target store free. Pick the four or five that genuinely apply to your source platform, add them to the calculator's base, and compare that against the $300 managed plan, which includes all of them. That comparison is the whole decision, and until September you could not do the arithmetic at all.
Not on the self-service route. 301 redirects appear in the add-on table at $29, marked recommended, and are described as automatically creating redirects for products, categories and CMS pages after migration so rankings survive and links do not break; on the Done-for-you plan at $300 they are included like every other add-on. The App Store listing said, when it was last readable on 18 September 2026, that the app covers URLs and 301 redirects, which is true of the product and misleading about the price, so read the two pages together. The question we could not answer in August — whether an add-on you have not paid for runs during the free demo — is answered in the vendor's help centre, checked 19 September 2026: the demo article lists “Choose any additional options” as a step in starting a demo migration, and says the demo is completely free with no payment required, the only cost arising when a full migration passes your purchased entity limit. So configure the redirects on a ten-record demo and look at what lands before you buy anything. Do it, because redirects are the part of a migration you cannot easily inspect afterwards — broken URLs do not announce themselves, they just stop earning — and one caveat survives: the article does not single out the paid options, so if the app does ask for payment at that step you will see it on the configuration screen before the run starts.
The two honest answers on record disagree, so plan for the slower one. The vendor's FAQ says most stores finish in one to three hours and that stores with 10,000+ products may take longer but still complete the same day, with live progress tracking and zero downtime because the source store is read-only throughout. A merchant migrating a very large catalogue wrote in July 2026 that large volumes took a very long time, and credited the team with helping to speed it up. Both can be true: an hour for a few thousand records, days for a few hundred thousand. The way to find out which one you are is the free demo — time it on ten of your most awkward records and scale from there — and Smart Sync exists precisely so the source store can keep trading while you do, re-importing whatever changed during the run.
Usually it sits on top rather than replacing everything. Tools in this class tend to become the layer where work is tracked and handed off, while your existing systems stay the source of truth for their own data. Before you buy, map which tools it would replace outright and which it would merely sync with. If the answer is that it syncs with all of them, you are adding a layer rather than removing one.
