The no-markup model pass-through is genuinely fair — but it also means your real cost is subscription PLUS model spend, and an agent that loops or processes big documents burns provider credits invisibly until you set limits.

| Plan | Price | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Free | $0/month plus usage | caps at one agent and 1,000 runs a month |
| Individual | $20/month plus usage, or $16/month plus usage billed yearly (20% saving) | unlimited agents and unlimited runs |
| Business | quote-based | — |
Summarised from the pricing notes below; the notes carry the conditions.
The subscription is a floor, not the bill: every tier reads “+ usage”, so model calls are charged on top. Free is $0/month plus usage and caps you at one agent and 1,000 runs a month. Individual is $20/month plus usage, or $16/month plus usage billed yearly, a stated 20% saving, and lifts both caps to unlimited agents and unlimited runs. Business is quote-based.
Because the metered part is uncapped by the plan, the tier you pick says little about what you will actually pay — the run volume does. The metered half is more governable than that makes it sound, and the page is specific about it. A run is one execution of an agent, triggered manually or automatically. MindStudio states it does not mark up model cost — its FAQ says you pay exactly the same price as bringing your own API keys from the providers — and that you can set per-agent and total spend limits and track run cost per agent.
All tiers reach 200+ models through its Service Router without API keys of your own, with bring-your-own keys as an option, and hitting a run limit triggers a notification with the choice of upgrading or buying additional runs rather than a hard stop mid-month. Plans change — always verify the live price on their site.
Category context: IT & Productivity. Across the 35 tools in this category that we researched with a public US-dollar price, the median entry price is $14 a month (lowest paid plan as listed, per seat where the vendor prices per seat). MindStudio’s entry price of $20 a month sits above that median. Compare pricing conditions in the Software Cost Atlas →
We capture MindStudio’s own pricing page every month and keep the figures, so this is our record of the page — not a forecast, and not someone else’s summary.
Three dated readings, no movement. On 6 August, 18 September and 5 October 2026 mindstudio.ai/pricing read Free at $0 a month plus usage with one agent and 1,000 runs, Individual at $20 a month plus usage or $16 billed yearly, and Business on a custom quote, with the no-markup statement on model cost in the FAQ each time.

The honest build discipline: start every agent with usage caps, and treat 'no-code' as no-code for the plumbing — the logic design and prompt quality are still entirely on you.

Visual builder for AI agents and workflows across 200+ models, with model usage passed through at provider cost and no markup.

Hands-on: not tested by usReported by buyers: Capterra and practitioner reviews, read August 2026
Themes from the buyer-review sites listed at the foot of this page, read in August 2026. We have not run MindStudio ourselves, so this is other buyers' experience rather than ours. We summarise it here because the complaints are usually the part a vendor page leaves out.
The free tier works for anyone testing a single workflow: one agent, up to 1,000 runs a month, and access to the same pool of 200+ underlying AI models as paid tiers, according to MindStudio's pricing page. The concrete trigger for upgrading is hitting either limit — needing another agent or exceeding 1,000 monthly runs — at which point the Individual tier, $20/month or $16/month billed yearly, removes both caps entirely rather than raising them incrementally.
What upgrading to Individual does not solve is anything related to team use: granular collaborator permissions, single sign-on, audit logs, custom SLAs, self-hosting, and custom domains are reserved for the Business tier, which is quote-only with no published price. So a solo builder outgrowing the free cap gets unlimited agents and runs for a flat monthly fee. A small team that needs shared workspace governance or compliance features still has to go through a sales conversation, regardless of how much it already pays at the Individual level.
Our monthly capture read this vendor's pricing page in July 2026 and again in August 2026, and the amounts were the same both times. We keep watching — the registry records what moves.
Getting started means creating a new agent, which drops you into the MindStudio Editor on an Automations Canvas with a default Start and End block. From there you add blocks — User Input for form fields, Generate Text for model prompts, Display Content for output — wire them into a sequence, and use the Preview button to run it before clicking Publish to deploy. No API key is required for this core loop; you just need a MindStudio account.
Where people get stuck, per reports on MindStudio's own community forum: the official "build your first agent in minutes" tutorial video predates a UI overhaul, so new signups following it land in a noticeably different editor than what's shown on screen. A separate forum thread describes a deployed agent that couldn't summarize outside content and instead replied that it "cannot access external websites," pointing to a block or configuration step for external fetching that isn't obvious from the basic tutorial flow.
Distilled from mindstudio.ai/pricing, university.mindstudio.ai docs, and community.mindstudio.ai forum threads, read 6 Aug 2026; mindstudio.ai/pricing re-read 5 October 2026 (served HTML): Free $0 + usage, one agent, 1,000 runs; Individual $20 + usage or $16 billed yearly (save 20%), unlimited agents and runs; Business custom with SSO, audit logs, self-hosting and custom domains; FAQ on runs, per-agent and total spend limits, no markup on model cost, additional runs at the limit. pricing.md returns 404.

Two numbers added together, and only one of them is published. The subscription is $0 on Free, $20 a month on Individual, or $16 a month billed yearly, with Business on quote — read on mindstudio.ai/pricing on 18 September and again on 5 October 2026. Every one of those carries “+ usage”, meaning model calls are billed on top. So the plan sets your floor and your run volume sets your bill, and an agent that loops over long documents can cost more in a week than the subscription does in a year.
Yes, and this is the part worth reading before you judge the pricing. MindStudio's own FAQ says you can set per-agent and total spend limits and are in full control, and that you can track run cost per agent (read 18 September and 5 October 2026). It also states plainly that it does not mark up model cost — you pay what you would pay bringing your own API keys. That combination is unusual for a usage-priced builder: the meter is uncapped by the plan, but you are handed the cap.
A run is one execution of an agent, whether you trigger it yourself or something else does, per MindStudio's FAQ read on 18 September and 5 October 2026. Free allows 1,000 a month and one agent. Hitting the ceiling is not a hard stop: the page says you are notified as you approach it and can either upgrade or buy additional runs. Individual removes both caps — unlimited agents and unlimited runs — which is what the $20 mainly buys, since the model spend is metered either way.
Judge it on evidence rather than adjectives. Look for a published security page, single sign-on and role controls on the plan you would actually buy (they are often gated to higher tiers), a status page with real incident history, and a clear answer on where your data is stored. If the tool will hold anything sensitive, those four answers matter more than any feature comparison.
